Corner House, Mansfield

£8.68 per hour (rising to £9.14 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

Hours as and when required including weekends and public holidays

We are seeking a Bank Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Recently rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Corner House Floating Support is based at the newly refurbished care home near to Mansfield town centre, providing support and enablement for adults with learning disabilities in the Mansfield and Ashfield areas. The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands-on care and support service for our residents
  • Ensuring that residents are supported by developing their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents

Skills and experiences:

  • Ideally you will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, however candidates with enthusiasm, a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply as we are committed to delivering a tailored training programme
  • Initiative and assertiveness will also be key to your success, as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems, allowing our clients to reach their potential
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
  • A successful candidate for this position will have an NVQ Level 2 or higher
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full, valid driving licence is desirable
