Redcar and Cleveland Services – requirement to work across the whole area

£8.42 to £8.68 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

Hours as and when required – to include waking nights and sleep ins over 7 days a week

Redcar and Cleveland Services have an opportunity in their team for an enthusiastic individual who wants to make a real difference in our clients’ lives. We are seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality personalised care and support service
  • Delivering expert support to clients including the sensitive delivery of personal care, whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained
  • Assisting clients to become a part of the wider community, by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities
  • Encouraging clients to lead fulfilling lives
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Implement safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our clients

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working in a similar care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
