£8.42 to £8.68 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

30 hours per week – to include sleep ins

Are you a friendly and dedicated person who is looking for a rewarding career? Thirlmere Crescent if a 24 hour service for adults who have learning and physical disabilities. We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
  • Delivering expert support to residents including the sensitive delivery of personal care, whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained
  • Assisting residents to become a part of the wider community, by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities
  • Encouraging residents to lead fulfilling lives
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Implement safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working in a similar care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
