37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

We are seeking a Supported Housing Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents in our supported housing schemes in Chester, Halton, Wirral and Merseyside. Our tenants have learning disabilities or mental health needs and are looking to further their independence. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Supported Housing Assistant will include:

  • Delivering an effective and compliant housing management service to meet the needs of our clients
  • Assisting in maintaining occupancy levels by managing voids in line with the prescribed policies and practices
  • Liaising with external support providers and agencies regarding referrals and allocations
  • Supporting the coordination of low level Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) cases in line with the prescribed policies and practices, ensuring that remedial action is taken to build community cohesion
  • Maintaining filing systems, database records and processes, to enable timely provision of accurate information

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of delivering tenancy services and working to deadlines is essential
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
  • Good literacy, numeracy, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer packages including Microsoft Office (or similar)
  • Experience in the use of housing management systems would be advantageous
  • A full, current driving licence is essential
