£8.66 to £9.11 per hour (dependent on qualifications) plus 10% allowance for all hours worked as DRP - Subject to April 2020 Pay Review

We are seeking a Night Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Situated in the market town of Winslow, Shaftesbury Court is a residential care home containing four flats, each with four bedrooms. We provide residential care and support for 16 adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities, some of whom have a dual mental health diagnosis. The role of Night Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing peace of mind for all residents by carrying out security checks throughout the night, checking on all buildings and residents
  • Responding to calls should a resident need support in an emergency
  • Conducting bed calls and morning calls to a high standard
  • Leading shifts
  • As a night position, the amount of hands-on care you will be providing is minimal

Skills and experiences:

  • Personalised approach, ideally with experience working in a similar, care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care is essential
