Project Worker – Temporary position for up to 3 months

Longford Road, Bognor Regis

£9.66 per hour (rising to £10.17 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

22.5 hours per week – 3 shifts of 7.5 hours covering 7 days a week

We are seeking a Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Longford Road as part of the Arun Resettlement Project in West Sussex, offering a mix of short-term accommodation based support and floating support to adults experiencing mental health issues.

We support people to maintain a tenancy and assist with recovery by using the Well-being Star, which is a highly regarded tool for supporting with recovery and is used by NHS and many other organisations. The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Ensuring that relevant support is provided to empower our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Promote safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
  • Regularly assessing the needs of our clients, writing and updating support plans
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and resident queries
  • Develop professional relationships with clients, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure that clients maintain personal choice, privacy and dignity

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working in social care, or with adults with mental health needs
  • Experience of managing benefits claims would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills with an approachable attitude
  • Reacting effectively to highly pressured situations
  • Good skills in maintain accurate records and support plans
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards, is essential
