£9.20 per hour (rising to £9.69 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

Drawbridge House is an eight bed supported living scheme which uses shared living to enable residents with learning disabilities/difficulties to achieve their best outcomes.

We have a great opportunity for a Bank Project Worker with passion and drive to provide support with daily living skills. You will use your experience and knowledge to work with colleagues and partner agencies enabling our residents to achieve their potential by promoting their independence and choices.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to clients, helping them to develop their daily living skills and strive for greater independence
  • Promoting clients to make choices
  • Helping clients with; budgeting, menu planning, writing shopping lists, cooking, general house work and medication administration
  • Supporting clients with benefit application and management
  • Producing care and support plans and risk management plans with clients
  • Liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of clients
  • Managing any safeguarding or serious incidents
  • General house keeping
  • Working with in a shift pattern including every other weekend
  • You may be required to work “sleep in” shifts

Skills and experiences:

  • An NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable
  • Experience of motivating and empowering individuals to reach their goals
  • Positive approach to challenging behaviour
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • Some experience of working with clients with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
