Young Peoples Accommodation, Weston-Super-Mare and Stoneleigh House, Bristol

37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a Local Service Manager to make a real difference to the lives of our residents at our young people’s services in Weston Super Mare, where we support 54 clients with needs ranging from low to high and a mental health support service in Bristol, which looks after 10 medium to low needs clients. The role of Local Service Manager will include:

  • Overseeing the overall delivery of the service, through management of the staff team of 8 and liaison with the Area Service Manager
  • Managing the day to day service delivery, ensuring clients’ needs and risks are managed safely
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and relevant external agencies, with the proven ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
  • Managing the administrative and financial background of the scheme, ensuring the scheme’s financial viability and ability to provide an effective care service for our clients
  • Managing KPI’s, including voids and arrears

Skills and experiences:

  • With previous experience of working in a managerial role within a similar service, you will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Ideally your experience will have been gained within managing services for young people, homeless people or in mental health, within a supported housing setting
  • You will have experience of working in a person centered way, supporting service users to maximise opportunities for personal development
  • You will have an NVQ4 Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be willing to work towards. In addition, a relevant professional award or qualification in Management would be desirable
  • You will be efficient, motivated, calm and possess a good sense of humour
  • A full, current driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable, as frequent travel will be required
