Senior Care and Support Assistant

Tilmore Gardens, Petersfield

£9.56 per hour (rising to £10.07 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

36 hours per week

We are seeking a Senior Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Recently rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Tilmore Gardens provides registered supported housing for ten adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs. The role of Senior Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants
  • Providing personal care and encouraging residents to maximise their independence and personal potential
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as appropriate
  • Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
  • Completing supervisions

Skills and experiences:

  • Personalised approach to care with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds
  • Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is essential
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Previous experience supervising a team
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
