£8.68 per hour (rising to £9.14 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) Subject to April 2020 Pay Review

Hours as and when required – Hours between Monday to Sunday, 9am-5pm or 2pm-10pm

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate individual to join our team as a Bank Support Assistant. Located in the centre of Goole, Aldam House and Cottage has 10 fully-furnished bedrooms. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, providing short-term support of up to two years or longer-term CQC-registered care. The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands on and personalised care and support service
  • Supporting residents to develop their daily living skills including cooking, cleaning, shopping and being an active part of the community
  • Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be maximised
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable people is required and applicants will need to have NVQ level 2 or equivalent in care
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be assertive will be key to your success
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload, calling upon your strong organisational skills
  • Good listening skills and the ability to solve problems, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
