Glamis Walk

Glamis Walk has eight self-contained one-bedroom flats and two ensuite rooms in a shared house on the same site. We provide a short-term move-on service and intensive housing management for adults aged 18 and over, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Staff office on-site 12 hours a day and out-of-hours telephone service, CCTV and a secure door access system to ensure residents’ safety and security.

All accommodation is let on an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Homelessness Outcomes Star model to help residents achieve their aims and goals.

Staff availability

Our highly trained staff are on-site during office hours to deliver personalised support and meet residents’ needs. There is an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Daily living skills
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Socialising and community involvement
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Maintaining health, safety and security
  • Maintaining mental health needs
  • Preventing homelessness
  • Issuing and enforcing occupancy agreements
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Accessing education, training and work
  • Planning a successful move-on
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Building positive relationships
  • Positive behaviour management
  • Maintaining appropriate behaviour and good communication
  • Managing anti-social behaviour
  • Mediation of neighbour disputes
  • Managing rent and rent arrears

Additional support services

We liaise with the local floating support team and external agencies to provide additional assistance when residents move on to live independently.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a place at Glamis Walk, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Be homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Have identifiable support needs
  • Have a local connection to Hartlepool

How to apply

To apply directly, please complete the enquiry form below and ask for an application form. We also accept referrals from Hartlepool Housing Advice team. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
