Banbury Foyer has 28 studio flats. We provide support for young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have medium or high support needs. Residents are encouraged to take control of their lives and build on their skills and strengths.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site during office hours, seven days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is on-hand. There is an overnight concierge service seven days a week and an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Building positive relationships

  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide short-term follow-on support when residents move on to live independently.

The Foyer Federation

Banbury Foyer is a member of The Foyer Federation, a registered charity that works with young people to enable them to not just survive, but to thrive. Their work ranges from supported housing, training and employment projects, to homelessness prevention initiatives and health and wellbeing programmes.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a place at Defoe Court, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 25
  • Be homeless, or at risk of homelessness
  • Have medium or high-level support needs

How to apply

We accept referrals from Oxfordshire County Council’s placement team. To begin the process of applying, please email placementservices@oxfordshire.gov.uk. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
