Wigan Road has eight self-contained one-bedroom apartments. We provide accommodation and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.

Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Mental Health Recovery Star model.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site during office hours, giving residents peace of mind that support is on-hand. There is an overnight concierge service seven days a week, and an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Building positive relationships
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Dealing with correspondence

  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide a pre-tenancy workshop for residents who are working towards moving on and living independently.

To be eligible for a place at Wigan Road, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Require support for a mental health need(s)

How to apply

We accept referrals from Bolton Council’s Adult Social Care and Mental Health teams. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
