North Hampshire Mental Health Supported Housing has five services spread across North Hampshire. We provide support for adults aged 18 to 65, with low level mental health needs.

An eight-bedroom shared house, six one-bedroom flats, three one-bedroom houses and a one-bedroom maisonette. All bedrooms and flats are fully-furnished.

Pentire has a shared lounge, bathroom, kitchen and garden. The four other services all offer self-contained living accommodation.

The staff office on-site at Pentire and CCTV help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Tenancy agreement

The one-bedroom flats and houses are let on an assured shorthold tenancy and the bedrooms at Pentire are let on a licence agreement.


Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised care and support plan with residents using the Mental Health Recovery Star model. Residents receive between two and five hours of low-level support per week.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are available during office hours, five days a week and there is an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping 
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Socialising and community involvement
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Maintaining health, safety and security
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide a mental health community support service for people living in their own homes in the areas of Basingstoke and Deane, Hart, Rushmoor, and Alton.

To be eligible for a place at North Hampshire Mental Health Supported Housing, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65
  • Have a diagnosed mental health need 

How to apply

We accept referrals from Hampshire County Council, as well as direct self-referrals. Please call us or complete the enquiry form below to request a referral form. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
