Stanley House has eight single-occupancy bedrooms in a shared house, as well as a one-bedroom self-contained apartment. We provide support for adults aged 18 to 65, who have a range of mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.

Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Mental Health Recovery Star model.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site during office hours, six days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is on-hand. There is also an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Managing mental health needs
  • Socialising and community involvement

  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently, as well as offering floating support to people living in the local area

To be eligible for a place at Stanley House, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65
  • Have mental health needs
  • Be receiving support from a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) or social worker
  • Require a minimum of 10 hours support per week

How to apply

We accept referrals from Medway Council Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and social services. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
