Set alongside the quiet surroundings of Akroyd Park, Range Street has four one-bedroom flats and a two-bedroom flat. We offer short-term supported accommodation for young people aged 16 to 17, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Four fully-furnished one-bedroom flats and one two-bedroom flat. Each flat includes a kitchen, bathroom and living area.

Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Young Person’s Star model. Residents are supported to develop their skills and strengths, with a view to moving on to independent accommodation after approximately six months.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including an overnight concierge service, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand.

  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Accessing education, training and employment
  • Positive behaviour management 
  • Managing mental health needs 
  • Accessing education, training and employment 
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently and also community-based support to clients in the local area.

Care and Support


To be eligible for a place at Range Street, applicants must be aged 16 or 17 and homeless or at risk of homelessness. They should also meet one of the following support criteria:

  • Have a mental health need
  • Be a single parent
  • Have a history of substance abuse
  • Have a history of criminal behaviour

How to apply

To apply directly, please complete the enquiry form below and ask for an application form. We also accept referrals through Calderdale Council’s Vulnerable Young Persons panel. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
