The nominees are:

  • For the first time, Sanctuary Supported Living as a provider for the Supported Housing Award.
  • With 27 years’ service, Local Service Manager Jo Hardwick from Corner House Residential Care Home, Mansfield, has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution accolade.
  • Also from Corner House, resident Maria Spencer has been nominated for the People’s Award for her role as the service’s activities coordinator.

All those shortlisted will attend a gala award dinner for the England and Scotland region at the end of June, with the winners going forward to the National Finals in October.

Sara Keetley, Operations Director for Sanctuary Supported Living, said: “We have seen some real successes in the past few months. Two of our services supporting people with learning disabilities were rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, and we have worked with a range of partners around the country to open new schemes and refurbish existing ones.

“I am already so proud of our achievements and to have some of our nominees go through to the National Finals would be the icing on the cake.”

We have seen some real successes in the past few months.
