Strength in diversity for National Resident Scrutiny Panel

24 March 2022

Six new members have joined our National Resident Scrutiny Panel (NRSP). Residents are at the heart of making sure our services are high quality, so that we focus on what matters most. The addition of Annette Solomon, Bonnie Nzumebong, Ingrid Baldwin, John Newman, Olivia Wood and Vanessa Wallace complement the skills and experience of those already on the panel, whilst offering a fresh perspective and new insights. With John joining, we’re delighted NRSP benefits from the views of another Sanctuary Supported Living resident.

By having a huge range of different backgrounds, needs and experiences, the NRSP are voices of customers helping us shape services and the way we do business. The panel also steers our ‘Communities of Interest,’ which sees thousands of residents working with us to improve services.

Graham Jones, NRSP chair, said: “We can constructively challenge Sanctuary more than ever before, thanks to the broad range of lived experiences our six new resident members have.

“We’ll continue to work together to make Sanctuary’s services and decisions better for fellow residents throughout the country.”

Over the last year, under Graham’s leadership, the NRSP’s membership has increased from six residents to eleven – with the one remaining vacancy about to be filled.

Simon Clark, Group Director – Housing, said: “We’re delighted that more than 100 housing and supported living residents expressed an interest in joining the NRSP.

“The lived experiences of Annette, Bonnie, Ingrid, John, Olivia and Vanessa will contribute to a broader understanding of residents’ issues and the scrutiny of our services.”

We welcome your ideas and feedback no matter what your background and experience. If it matters to you, it matters to us. To find out more about getting involved, see our getting involved page.
