Awards success for Chelmsford learning disability service
Staff at Sanctuary Supported Living’s Nickleby Road, a supported housing service for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Chelmsford, are delighted to have won a national care award.
The awards ceremony for the South East region of the Great British Care Awards 2020-21 took place on Friday 23 June, as a celebration of the hard work and dedication of staff from across the care sector, and to pay tribute to people who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The Nickleby Road team were nominated in the Housing with Care category for their outstanding expertise in person-centred support, meeting the complex needs of adult residents with various learning disabilities every day.
The judges commented that the service is “brimming with enthusiasm, energy and creativity. 100% committed to the goal of supporting people with learning disabilities in moving on and living independently”.
I couldn’t be happier or prouder of my team who always go above and beyond to give our inspirational residents the support they need to live the best life possible.
