Consider donating to Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services this Christmas
If you're looking to support vulnerable people in your local community this Christmas, Sanctuary Supported Living's Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services (PDAS) have launched an Amazon wish list where you can purchase gifts, decorations and festive treats for individuals and families who have fled domestic abuse.

PDAS offers practical, non-judgemental support, advice and protection for men, women, and children of domestic abuse in Plymouth. Support includes confidential advice, one-to-one and group support sessions, and refuge accommodation. In 2017 and 2018, they supported over 2,300 people.
If you would like to support the work of Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services, please consider ordering from the Amazon wish list. Items will go to individuals and families in need to make their Christmas extra special this year.
Children and Young People’s Support Worker, Alice Dickeson-Brand, said “We thought an Amazon wish list would be an ideal way to celebrate the festive period with our clients. Our local community are always so generous in their response. We’ve also raised £262 this year via a giant giving box which was installed by local shopping centre, Drakes Circus, in December 2020.”

The giant giving box, which has been redecorated for Christmas 2021, encourages shoppers to easily donate using contactless payment. The funds raised are split between Macmillan Cancer Support, Andy’s Man Club, Woodside Animal Welfare Trust and Sanctuary Supported Living’s PDAS.
To contact PDAS, call 0800 458 2558 or email PDAS@sanctuary-housing.co.uk. In an emergency, call 999.
