Tony Chapple
Tony Chapple moved to Sanctuary Supported Living’s (SSL) Montague Road Nursing Home after a stay in hospital led to a deterioration in his mental health.
Tony, 83, has Alzheimer’s and requires support with his day-to-day living, including personal care, decision-making and help to maintain his health and wellbeing.
Staff from Montague Road were able to agree on a personalised care plan for Tony with his family, to ensure his care is tailored to his own needs.
Tony’s family, including wife Margaret, daughters Lin and Susan, and his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, visit twice a week and take part in special events at the home like dinners and activities, such as music events.
Lin said: “We’re very happy and very satisfied with the care provided at Montague Road.
“We feel part of the wider family at the home, we’re made to feel at home at all the special events and, most important of all, we have input into the care he receives.”

SSL keyworker Grace Lake said: “It’s a pleasure to work with Tony; he has a great personality, he enjoys spending time interacting and having a laugh with the other residents, and the rest of the team.
“It’s wonderful to have his family with us so regularly; they get to see how he’s getting on with his care and are always a welcome sight.”
