Quality Officer

Sanctuary House, Worcester

37.5 hours per week

The Quality Officer will join Sanctuary Supported Living’s office team in Worcester. You will be responsible for reviewing current service delivery through internal audit processes and assess quality and performance, in order to ensure the Group’s aims and objectives are achieved. A strategic thinker who is organised, self sufficient and is good with data analysis, would be ideal for this position.

The role of Quality Officer will include:

  • Planning and conducting service reviews and audits
  • Evaluate service delivery and performance, recommending improvements to support the achievement of internal and external standards and the continuous improvement agenda, including liaising with working groups to disseminate good practice
  • Prepare reports and present information following reviews, to support business planning and decision making
  • Supporting business operations in preparation for reviews and advising on self assessment and compliance issues
  • Identifying and mitigating any risks for the Group where identified, even if these do not directly link to the inspection criteria

Skills and experiences:

  • A degree or relevant qualifcation, or knowledge and experience at an equivalent level
  • Working knowledge of current adult social care legislation, for example The Safeguarding and Care Act
  • Proven project management skills and experience of assessing quality of service delivery and processes
  • Understanding of how to embed good practice in an operational context and provide support to enable effective working practices, that impact on realizing quality
  • Experience writing complex reports based on analysis of business insight data and external sector horizon scanning
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presenting skills are also essential for the role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Outcome Star would be desirable
  • Travel is essential to the role, so a full current driving licence would be desirable, as would the willingness to travel across the whole of the UK
