Night Concierge

St James House, Stockton-On-Tees

£8.47 per hour (rising to £8.91 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week – 10pm to 8am

We are seeking a Night Concierge to join our team at St James House. Our services in Stockton support young people leaving the care service, families, and individuals who are homeless. As Concierge you will provide an effective reception and concierge service, acting as first point of contact for all customers, visitors and suppliers ensuring that the highest level of customer care and service are maintained at all times.

The role of Night Concierge will include:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of the building
  • Acting as the first point of contact to emergency services
  • Carrying out cleaning tasks
  • Preparing communal areas for clients, including kitchens and bathrooms and ensuring that the security of service users is maintained
  • Responding positively to customer requests and queries, efficiently offering solutions or recommendations
  • Completing concierge checklists, feeding back information and completing incident reports if required
  • Developing and delivering effective administrative procedures
  • This role will include long periods of lone working

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role is required
  • Experience of working with young people leaving the care system and of dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Basic health and safety knowledge, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to communicate and engage with our residents, visitors and colleagues
