Brighton and Hove Foyer is a supported housing project for 16-25 year olds. Through asset-based personalised support and a psychologically-informed approach, we assist young people to move on to greater independence. All our clients will have experienced homelessness and some may be care leavers. Issues they are dealing with include mental health, substance misuse, finding employment, education and training and learning independent living skills.

We have a great opportunity for a Bank Project Worker with passion and drive to provide support, enabling our clients with a range of complex needs to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community. You will use your skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our clients.

The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  • Regular keyworking and action planning so that relevant support is provided, ensuring our clients are empowered and enabled to maximise their own potential. This includes assessing clients’ needs, writing and reviewing action plans
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies in partnership with clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Ensuring Sanctuary Supported Living delivers its safeguarding responsibilities
  • Some evening, weekend and sleep-in shifts may be required

Skills and experiences:

  • Sound knowledge of action/support planning, keyworking, risk assessment and safeguarding
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
  • A positive approach to working with young people
