Night Concierge

The Maples, Barnstaple

£8.30 per hour (rising to £8.74 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week – 4 days per week, 10pm to 8am Waking Night Shift

We are seeking a Night Concierge to join our friendly and dedicated team at The Maples. This scheme supports individuals who have experienced homelessness (including rough sleeping) and aims to enable our residents to obtain the life skills necessary to move on into more independent living. The night concierge position requires attending to the safety of the building, the safety and well-being of our residents and maintaining the standards of the scheme.

The role of Night Concierge will include:

  • Preparing communal areas for clients, including kitchens and bathrooms and ensuring that the security of service users is maintained
  • Responding positively to customer requests and queries, efficiently offering solutions or recommendations
  • Completing concierge check lists, feeding back information and completing incident reports if required
  • Developing and delivering effective administrative procedures

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role is required
  • Some experience of supervising staff would be advantageous
  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to communicate and engage with our residents, visitors and colleagues
