Cardigan House has eight en-suite rooms in a shared house. We provide care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of learning disabilities, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.

A staff office on-site and a secure door access system to help ensure residents’ safety and security.

Support planning

Staff draw up a personalised care and support plan with residents using the Life Star model. We can provide 24-hour care and support, including personal care, depending on individual needs.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand.

  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Building positive relationships

  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently. Residents can purchase telecare technology to further promote their independence, whilst still feeling safe.

To be eligible for a place at Cardigan House, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a learning disability and require care and support

How to apply

We accept referrals from the adult social care team at Wirral Council. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
