Ankatel Close has seven one-bedroom apartments and two shared two-bedroom apartments. We provide support for young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or who are looking to move on from our higher-level supported housing services.

Seven one-bedroom apartments and two shared two-bedroom apartments. All apartments are part-furnished and have a bedroom, lounge/diner, kitchen and shower room.

Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Young Person’s Star model.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site various hours to suit residents’ needs, giving them peace of mind that support is on-hand. There is an overnight concierge service seven days a week and an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Accessing education, training and work
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Maintaining health, safety and security
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Planning a successful move-on

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently, as well as offering floating support to people living in the local area.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a place at Ankatel Close, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 25
  • Be a single young person who is homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Require low to medium-level support, with a minimum of two hours of support per week

We also accept applications from residents who are looking to move on from our other services, such as Weston Foyer.

We accept referrals from the Housing Team at North Somerset Council, please see their website or call 01934 888 888. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
