A domestic abuse service in Plymouth has been successful in a grant application from a small, charitable trust which provides financial assistance for artists, nurses, and women in need.
The Eaton Fund awarded Sanctuary Supported Living’s Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services (PDAS) £5,000 to support its work providing practical, non-judgemental support, advice and protection for victims of domestic abuse.
Over the next six months, the grant will assist with the provision of vital, quality support, and essential items like refrigerators and carpets for people to rebuild their lives in a safe environment.
Local Service Manager, Katy Fisher, said: “PDAS is very grateful for this grant which will enable us to increase the current provision of specialist domestic abuse support, which includes practical and emotional support to recover and rebuild the lives of vulnerable people.”

Chairman of the Eaton Fund, Dr Stephen Kane, said: “Our charity helps women in need to live safely and independently. We welcome our partnership with PDAS because we have seen PDAS’s work in action, and we share their commitment to offer practical and timely support to women and their children.”
As part of an ongoing partnership between PDAS and The Eaton Fund, the trust intends to offer a second instalment of £5,000 in March 2023.
