About us
Located in a quiet area of Prenton, Tollemache Road is a purpose-designed respite care home with 10 en-suite bedrooms.
We provide short-term respite care and support for 10 adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities and complex or high needs.

Inspected and rated by the CQC
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the national independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.
They inspect and monitor care homes, nursing homes and supported housing where personal care is provided and produce reports about them, to help you find a service that suits you.
Staff at Tollemache Road provide CQC-registered care and support. Our CQC-registered name is Tollemache Road Respite Service.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a respite place at Tollemache Road, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 to 65
- Have a learning disability, with complex or high needs
- Have an informal carer who has had a carer’s assessment
- Have been assessed as needing overnight breaks in a residential setting
How do I apply?
We accept referrals from Wirral Council. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
