About us

Kent Mental Health Supported Housing provides housing and support from five services, for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs and/or learning disabilities. 

  • Staff on-site during office hours
  • Short-term supported housing for up to two years
  • Accommodation allocated based on availability

Location

All locations have access to local amenities and public transport links. St John’s Church Road in Folkestone and Dolphin Lodge in Hythe are close to the seafront. Bower Mount Road and Swan House are in Maidstone and Prices Court is in Sittingbourne.

Accommodation type

Bower Mount Road, Swan House and Dolphin Lodge are shared houses with a total of 21 single-occupancy bedrooms. There are 14 onebedroom flats at Prices Court, and 9 one-bedroom flats between two shared houses on St Johns Church Road. All rooms come with basic furnishings.

Communal areas

A lounge at all properties, except for Prices Court. Other communal areas include a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, laundry room and garden but facilities vary at each service.

Safety and security

Staff office on-site and CCTV at all properties. St John’s Church Road and Prices Court also have a secure door access system.

Technology

Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.

Rental agreement type

All bedrooms at Bower Mount Road, Swan House and Dolphin Lodge are let on a license agreement. St John’s Church Road and Prices Court are let on an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a place at Kent Mental Health Supported Housing, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65
  • Have a diagnosed mental health need
  • Require low to medium level support

How do I apply?

To apply please contact us for an application form. We also accept referrals from Live Well Kent and Medway for housing-related support.

All support needs will be accessed before an application is accepted. Accommodation will be allocated based on availability.
