Recruitment FAQs

We have lots of training available and have a dedicated in-house Learning and Development team. All new starters will receive a thorough induction and complete all necessary training, and there is opportunity to progress your career with additional training.

We aim to offer a start date as soon as possible following a successful interview. We do need to complete mandatory documents including criminal convictions and reference checks and you will need to provide various documents, but the process should be straightforward.

After we receive all the documentation from you which was outlined on your conditional offer letter, including policy-compliant references and a criminal convictions check, your hiring manager will agree a start date with you. Your contract will then be issued along with a formal offer of employment before your start date.

If you are unable to provide a reference from any employers, we will need two professional character references (e.g. from Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, etc.).

A professional character referee is someone you know outside of work who is giving a personal recommendation for you regarding your character and abilities. There is a long list of suitable character referees such as Accountants, Nurses, Paramedics, Doctors etc.

This professional character reference will help us if we cannot obtain all your employment references from the last three years.

We need three documents – one should show your current address, and one should show your date of birth. We need any evidence of name changes where applicable. Some examples include an in-date passport, an in-date Biometric Residence Permit, an in-date driving licence (provisional or full), a bank statement printed in the branch (not online) and dated within the last three months, P45/P60 dated within the last twelve months, a utility bill dated within the last three months (but not a mobile telephone bill).

If your question is specific to the home, you can contact the home directly. If your question is recruitment based, please email

We update our adverts on a regular basis, if you cannot find an advert for the service you want to work at then we are not currently advertising for that role. You can visit our website and sign up to receive job alerts where you will be advised of all roles that are live within your area.

Job alerts allow you to set your job preferences, including job title and location. Then, when we post an advert for a role meeting your criteria, you will receive an email notification letting you know.

To register for job alerts, you will need to create an account on our careers website and click yes to receive notifications about new job postings. After creating your profile, you will receive further instructions on setting up more job alerts.
