About us

Ipswich Homelessness Supported Housing has three services spread across Ipswich: Anglesea Road, Berners Street and Cecil Road.

We provide supported housing accommodation and personalised support for single young people and adults aged 16 or over, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. 

  • Staff on-site during office hours at Anglesea Road
  • Short-term supported housing for up to 18 months
  • Communal rooms at Anglesea Road and Cecil Road

14 bedrooms and four one-bed flats at Anglesea Road. A two-bed flat and and 12 one-bed flats at Berners Street. Three bedrooms at Cecil Road.

Anglesea Road and Cecil Road have a communal kitchen, lounge/diner, bathroom and garden.

Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system all help to ensure residents' safety and security.

Technology

Wi-Fi is available to all residents in communal areas across the services. We can provide assistive technology for additional safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.

All rooms are let on excluded licence agreements, and all flats are let on an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a place at Ipswich Homeless Supported Housing, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 65
  • Be homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Have a recognised support need

How do I apply?

To apply, complete Suffolk County Council’s application process for housing-related support. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
