About us
Wigan Road has eight self-contained one-bedroom apartments.
We provide accommodation and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.
- Sanctuary Supported Living staff on-site during office hours, with overnight concierge service
- Short-term supported housing for up to two years
- Communal kitchen, lounge, computer facilities, laundry room and garden

Location
A residential area of Bolton, within walking distance of local shops, a supermarket, public transport links, Haslam Park and the University of Bolton.
Accommodation type
Eight furnished one-bedroom apartments, each with a bedroom, lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom.
Communal areas
A kitchen, lounge, computer facilities, laundry room and garden, with level access throughout.
Safety and security
Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system help to ensure residents’ safety and security.
Technology
Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.
Rental agreement type
All apartments are let on an assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a place at Wigan Road, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Require support for a mental health need(s)
How do I apply?
We accept referrals from Bolton Council’s Adult Social Care and Mental Health teams.
All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
