About us
Located in the large, costal village of Lancing, Brighton Road provides support for young people aged 16 to 25 and encourages them to live as independently as possible.

Location
Within walking distance of supermarkets, restaurants, the cinema, the seafront, and public transport links. Lancing College is a 40 minute bus ride away.

7 furnished bedrooms in a shared house.
Communal areas
A lounge, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and garden.
Safety and security
CCTV helps to ensure residents’ safety and security at all services, plus a secure door access system and out of hours telephone service.
Technology
Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for additional safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.
Rental agreement type
All bedrooms are let on a licence agreement.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a place at West Sussex Young People’s Services, applicants must:
- Be aged 16 to 25
- Have low to medium support needs
- Pay the accommodation charges, either through eligibility for housing benefit or by other means (proof of income will be required at the referral stage)
- Be willing to engage in support planning and meet the terms of the licence agreement, which includes being supported to access education, training or employment

We also accept referrals from West Sussex Youth Homeless Prevention Team and local authorities.
We invite all applicants to an assessment meeting so we can decide together if Brighton Road is the best place for them.
