In the historical Avenues area of Hull, The Avenues has 14 fully-furnished one-bedroom flats. We provide accommodation and support for adults aged 18-65, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

About Sanctuary Supported Living

At Sanctuary Supported Living we provide supported housing, move-on accommodation, CQC registered services and floating support to help people across England on their pathways for independence.

We specialise in services for young people, homeless families and individuals, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and people with mental health needs.

All flats are let on a licence agreement.

Support

Our highly-trained staff work closely with residents to create a personalised support plan using the Home Star model, designed to help them reach their goals and maximise their independence.

Staff are on-site during office hours, giving residents peace of mind that support is on-hand. There is an overnight concierge service seven days a week and an out-of-hours telephone service for any additional support needs.

We support residents to manage and improve their personal safety and improve social, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Tailored support, advice and assistance includes:

  • Daily living skills
  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Building positive relationships
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Accessing education, training and employment
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Planning a successful move-on

How to apply and eligibility

 

We accept referrals from Hull City Council housing options team.

All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.

To be eligible for a place at The Avenues, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18-85
  • Be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless

Residents can purchase additional telecare technology for an enhanced sense of confidence and safety at home and in their community.
