It is important that you make payments (rent, service charges and other charges) on time. This forms part of your tenancy agreement. If you claim Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, you are still responsible for making sure that we receive payments and that you don’t fall into arrears. In some circumstances Housing Benefit or Universal Credit may not be responsible for all the charges you need to pay. These ‘Ineligible’ service charges will need to be paid by you.
We are a not-for-profit organisation so the payments you make for your home are always reinvested into Sanctuary.
Support to pay
If you have any questions or concerns about how much to pay or ways to pay, please speak to a member of staff at your service e.g. Local Service Manager or Project Worker. Alternatively, you can contact the Central Income Team who can provide you with support and answer your questions.
