Set in the heart of the London borough of Wandsworth, John Pounds House has 20 one-bedroom self-contained flats. We provide short-term care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the national independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. They inspect and monitor care homes, nursing homes and supported housing where personal care is provided and produce reports about them, to help you find a service that suits you.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site seven days a week during office hours, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand. There is an overnight concierge service, should residents need additional support.

To be eligible for a place at John Pounds House, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a mental health need
  • Be able to work towards living independently within two years

How to apply

We are unable to accept direct applications or referrals. We can only accept referrals from the Specialist Housing Accommodation Project (SHAP) team, which serves both Richmond Council and Wandsworth Council. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.


Every Friday morning and every month we have house meetings, we can tell our concerns and they will resolve it.
