With the upcoming retirement of former Operations Director, Sara Keetley, Sanctuary Supported Living has named Dave Shaw as her successor, with effect from Monday 27 February.
With 15 years of senior leadership experience, Dave Shaw brings a successful track record of strategic insight and developing and managing care services across the social housing sector, as well as plenty of energy and enthusiasm. In his new role as Operations Director – Supported Living, he will be reporting to Sarah Clarke-Kuehn, Chief Operating Officer – Commercial. Dave has worked for Sanctuary Supported Living since 2013, following Sanctuary’s acquisition of Chester and District Housing Trust, and his progression to Operations Director follows his previous roles as Head of Service – North and, most recently, Head of Growth and Business Development.

Dave said: “I’d like to thank Sara for her strong, kind and caring leadership over the past five years – especially during the challenges of supporting our staff and residents on the front line during the Covid pandemic. I’m looking forward to leading our amazing teams into the future and continuing to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society."
Dave is replacing Sara Keetley who is retiring after nine years at Sanctuary Supported Living, having joined in 2014 as Head of Service – South, and then leading as Operations Director since April 2018. Sara’s highlights in leading Sanctuary Supported Living include achieving and retaining Investors in People Gold, a 100% record of CQC ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ for 14 months, and many regional and national industry award wins, including the Care Employer Award at the 2022-23 Great British Care Awards. Sarah Clarke-Kuehn said, “I’m delighted to appoint Dave into the role of Operations Director – Supported Living. With a wealth of operational and commercial experience behind him, he will continue to drive innovation and excellence across our supported living portfolio.
