Middleton House has communal lounges, restaurant, hair salon and a landscaped garden. There are lifts to all floors and level access throughout.

Your apartment

Your new apartment is unfurnished so you can make it your own. It has an open plan lounge and fitted kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a level-access shower room.

The daytime reception, 24-hour care staff on site and secure door entry to the building and your apartment help you to feel safe and secure.

Technology

There is Wi-Fi in communal areas. Pull cords are fitted in every apartment, and optional assistive technology is available to complement your lifestyle. This can be purchased at an additional cost.

Rent or leasehold

Apartments are available to rent for one or two people. Leasehold apartments may also be available to purchase from a current owner. You may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent from Gloucestershire County Council. 

Restaurant and dining

Our on-site restaurant is open to residents and visitors from 9am-3pm, seven days a week* for breakfast, lunch and snacks.  

If you live nearby, enjoy a meal out in our restaurant with your family and friends.  

We regularly have special menus to celebrate special occasions throughout the year and our restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.

  • Cheltenham town centre is less than 10 minutes away by car or around 20 minutes by bus  
  • Cheltenham General Hospital, including A&E services, is less than 10 minutes away

Pricing

You may be eligible for financial support, such as Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, to help cover your rent and part of your service charge. 

For guidance, the indicative weekly costs at Middleton House are shown below. Charges can be paid weekly or monthly in advance.

How do I apply?
 

  1. Applications are made through Gloucestershire County Council. Please contact the council to discuss your eligibility and the application process.
  2. We’ll arrange for you to visit and meet us.
  3. We’ll help you to complete a housing assessment and affordability form, as you may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent and part of your service charge.
  4. While you’re here, we may assess if you would benefit from care and support services, and the on-site care provider may arrange to visit you at home to discuss your needs. For your care to be funded by Gloucestershire County Council you must have had your needs assessed and approved by the adult social care team.
