Blackburn Floating Support

Our staff work with customers to develop a personalised support plan using the Home Star model, focusing on achieving and maintaining a stable home. 

Our highly-trained staff provide mental health support five days a week, during office hours. We provide weekly contact, but this can vary to suit customers’ needs.

We also provide follow-on support when clients move on from Roebuck Close, our supported housing service in Blackburn.

Clients can also purchase additional telecare technology for extra safety and reassurance, and to further promote their independence.

Tailored support, advice and assistance includes:

• Finding suitable accommodation
• Hoarding support and de-cluttering
• Managing bills and budgeting
• Accessing benefits
• Managing debt and rent arrears
• Developing cooking and cleaning skills
• Liaising with landlords and housing officers
• Dealing with correspondence
• Accessing education, training and work
• Maintaining health, safety and security
• Socialising and community involvement
• Maintaining mental health and wellbeing

Sanctuary Supported Living is part of Sanctuary, which is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). The RSH is the government body for the social housing sector. It sets standards for social housing providers and can take action if they’re breached. 

If you’re a customer and you have a problem with one of our services, the first step is to speak to your Local Service Manager, who will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If you are still not happy, you can follow our complaints process, which explains how to make a complaint and what to expect from us.  

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Housing Ombudsman Service, which is an independent organisation that deals with disputes between landlords and tenants.
