Located in a quiet area of Prenton, Tollemache Road is a purpose-designed respite care home with 10 en-suite bedrooms. We provide short-term respite care and support for 10 adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities and complex or high needs.

10 single-occupancy bedrooms, all with en-suite. All rooms and apartments are fully-furnished with level access throughout. There is WiFi in all communal areas.

CCTV, a staff office and security personnel on-site all help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Integrated emergency pull cord alarm system throughout. Accessible bathrooms and sliding track hoists are available. Bed sensors and personal pendant alarms can be added as required.

Staff draw up a personalised care and support plan with residents. We can provide 24-hour respite care and support, including personal care, depending on individual needs.

Our highly-trained staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving residents peace of mind that support is always on-hand.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a respite place at Tollemache Road, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65
  • Have a learning disability, with complex or high needs
  • Have an informal carer who has had a carer’s assessment
  • Have been assessed as needing overnight breaks in a residential setting

How to apply

We accept referrals from Wirral Council. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
