Set in Bridlington, on the East Yorkshire coast, Montague House has nine one-bedroom apartments and one crisis room. We provide support for young adults aged 16-24 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or are survivors of domestic abuse, offering a move-on service to assist them in living independently.

Care and support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Outcomes Star model. Residents are encouraged to increase their confidence and build up their skills, with the aim of moving on to live more independently within six months.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site every day during office hours and there is an overnight security service. We also operate an out-of-hours telephone service should residents require any further support.

  • Maintaining a tenancy
  • Managing finances (budgeting and benefits)
  • Cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Accessing education, training and employment
  • Planning a successful move-on
  • Preventing homelessness
  • Managing rent and rent arrears

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently, as well as offering community-based support to clients in the local area.

To be eligible for a place at Montague House, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 24
  • Be homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or a survivor of domestic abuse
  • Have a local connection to the East Riding of Yorkshire (unless they are a survivor of domestic abuse)
