Staff draw up a personalised care and support plan with residents using the Mental Health Recovery Star model.

Our highly-trained staff are on-site various hours throughout the day, to suit residents' needs, and there is a night concierge service, giving residents peace of mind that support is on-hand.

There is also an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any further support.

Residents can purchase additional telecare technology to further promote their independence.

We offer a wide range of tailored support, advice and assistance, as well as additional follow-on care and support when residents move on to live independently. We also offer a floating support service for people with a learning disability or mental health need, living in the Darlington area.

We encourage resident participation in communal activities and events, including out-of-area activities, volunteer work and group trips. We have set up a swimming group, walking group, arts and crafts, and a horse riding group at the scheme. Sanctuary Supported Living is part of Sanctuary, which is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). The RSH is the government body for the social housing sector. It sets standards for social housing providers and can take action if they’re breached. 

If you’re a customer and you have a problem with one of our services, the first step is to speak to your Local Service Manager, who will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If you are still not happy, you can follow our complaints process, which explains how to make a complaint and what to expect from us.  

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Housing Ombudsman Service, which is an independent organisation that deals with disputes between landlords and tenants, or the Social Care Ombudsman which can investigate complaints about adult social care providers. 

Ashfield Court is also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which inspects and rates all services which provide personal care and support. For more information, you can view the most recent Ashfield Court CQC inspection report.
