Set in the centre of Goole, Aldam House and Cottage has 10 fully-furnished bedrooms. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, providing short-term support of up to two years or longer-term CQC-registered care.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the national independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. They inspect and monitor care homes, nursing homes and supported housing where personal care is provided and produce reports about them, to help you find a service that suits you.

Eight fully-furnished en-suite bedrooms in a shared house. Two bedrooms in the adjacent cottage are designed to suit the needs of long-term residents.

Personal pendant alarms are available, to encourage independence and provide additional reassurance and support.

Care and support planning

Staff draw up a personalised support plan with residents using the Mental Health Recover Star model.

Staff availability

Our highly-trained staff are on-site from 9am to 10pm, Monday to Friday. There is an out-of-hours telephone service, should residents require any additional support.

Activities and events

Additional support services

We also provide follow-on support when residents move on to live independently.


To be eligible for a place at Aldam House and Cottage, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a mental health support need

To apply directly, please complete the enquiry form below and ask for an application form. We also accept referrals from East Riding of Yorkshire Council. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
