Accommodation features and facilities
Our building
Dobsons House has a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry room and guest suite. There is an accessible bathroom, lifts to all floors and level access throughout.
Your apartment
Your new apartment is unfurnished so you can make it your own. It has an open plan lounge and fitted kitchen, one or two double bedrooms, and a level-access shower room.
Our community
Residents can enjoy a range of social activities and events, making it easy to meet new people and become part of the community. There's no obligation to take part - you can take part as often as you want.
Safety and security
The daytime reception, 24-hour care staff on site and secure door entry to the building and your apartment help you to feel safe and secure.
Technology
Pull cords are fitted in every apartment, and optional assistive technology is available to complement your lifestyle. This can be purchased at an additional cost.
Renting
Apartments are available to rent for one or two people. You may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent from Essex County Council.

How do I apply?

We’ll arrange for you to visit and meet us.
We’ll help you to complete a housing assessment and affordability form, as you may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent and part of your service charge.
While you’re here, we may assess if you would benefit from care and support services, and our care provider may arrange to visit you at home to discuss your needs. For your care to be funded by Essex County Council, you must have had your needs assessed and approved by the adult social care team.
