Our building

Nichols Court has a communal lounge, restaurant, guest suite, hair salon and a landscaped garden. There are lifts to all floors and level access throughout.

Your apartment

Your new apartment is unfurnished so you can make it your own. It has an open plan lounge, fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, oven and hob, one or two double bedrooms and a level-access shower room.

Technology

There is free Wi-Fi in communal areas. Pull cords are fitted in every apartment, and we can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.

Apartments are available to rent for one person or two people. You may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent from Cambridgeshire County Council. There are no leasehold apartments available.

A large kitchenette spans the width of the back wall of the seating area. The soft wooden cabinets and black worktops complement the white room well. The kitchen features a dishwasher and undercounter fridge as well as numerous tea and coffee making facilities. Two four seater dining tables with lime green and lilac chairs are placed in front of the kitchen. A small black sofa tucks underneath the mottled glass panelled across the wall.
The cream and white veined tiled bathroom with walk in shower and wall mounted white toilet and skink with a mirror placed centrally above the sink butted up to the shelf.
Crisp and fresh living area, leading through into a fully functional kitchen with lightly stained wooden cabinetry on the lower and upper units, a black worksurface, an electric hob, washing machine and chrome accessories.

Taste restaurant

Our in-house Taste restaurant is open to residents and members of the public from 9am to 4pm, seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and snacks. If you live nearby, enjoy a meal out in our restaurant with your family and friends.

We regularly have special menus to celebrate special occasions throughout the year and our Taste restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.

Am I eligible?
 

To be eligible to live at Nichols Court, you must:

  • Be aged 55 or over, or have long-term care needs
  • Reside in, or have a family connection to, the Cambridgeshire area

We aim to offer a lively atmosphere and mixed community of people who have a range of care needs.

Nichols Court may not be suitable if you require a substantial amount of regular nursing care.

How do I apply?
 

  1. Contact us for an application form, and contact Cambridgeshire County Council for a care needs assessment.
  2. We’ll arrange for you to visit and meet us.
  3. We’ll help you to complete a housing assessment and affordability form, as you may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent and part of your service charge.
