About us

Birmingham Intensive Housing Management supports adults aged 18 and over, helping them manage and maintain their tenancies. We operate across four buildings: Bridgeburn Road (Northfield), Sandwood House (Edgbaston), Primrose House (Handsworth Wood) and Sandybanks (Erdington).

  • Low level, intensive housing management support  
  • Up to three hours of support available per week  
  • Direct applications accepted

Four services comprising 32 single-occupancy bedrooms and three one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a bedroom, lounge/diner, kitchen, and bathroom.

Communal areas

Shared spaces at each property includes a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, and laundry room. Sandybanks also has a conservatory.

Safety and security

Staff office on-site, CCTV and an out-of-hours telephone service help to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Technology

Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.

To be eligible for a place at Birmingham Intensive Housing Management applicants must: 

  • Be aged 18 or over

  • Require support to manage and maintain a tenancy
