About us

We provide accommodation with support for single adults and families aged 16 to 65 with a range of support needs, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who may be leaving care.

  • Supported housing, follow-on support, floating support, rough sleepers outreach services and Housing First offered
  • Staff on-site seven days a week in the day time with concierge at night
  • Short-term supported housing for up to nine months

Accommodation type

Charles Street has 29 furnished bedrooms spread over three floors in three separate houses. Each house has a shared lounge, fully-fitted kitchen and accessible shower/bathroom.
Clarence Road has 18 rooms including two family rooms. All rooms have their own en-suite and use shared kitchens

Communal areas

Charles Street houses have a shared lounge, kitchen, bathroom and garden. Clarence Road has communal kitchens. All clients can use the play room for babies and toddlers in Sunflower House (Charles Street).

Staff office on-site, CCTV and a secure door access system to ensure residents’ safety and security.

Technology

Free Wi-Fi in communal areas. We can provide assistive technology for extra safety and reassurance, which can be purchased at additional cost.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for support from Thurrock Homelessness, applicants must:

  • Be aged 16 to 65
  • Be homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Have a local connection to the Borough
  • Have an identified support need

How do I apply?

The application process will depend on the support you require. Please complete the enquiry form below and speak to us for application advice and information.

We accept self-referrals, referrals from Thurrock Council’s rent teams and children’s social care teams, tenancy officers and other agencies. All support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted.
