Situated in the heart of Helsby, The Windings provides modern apartments and communal facilities for people aged 55 and over 

Designed to offer comfort, independence and peace of mind, The Windings has everything you need to enjoy a happy, fulfilling retirement.

At The Windings, you’ll find: 

  • One or two-bedroom apartments with open-plan lounge and kitchen
  • On-site communal facilities, including an activities room and beauty salon
  • Staff on-site 24 hours a day and assistive technology built in to help you make the most of every day  

Who can apply:

  • People aged 55 or over, or those with long-term care needs
  • Applicants who live locally, or have a family connection to the area

The Windings has a residents' lounge, hairdressing and beauty salon, hobby and craft rooms, activity rooms, laundry facilities, guest suite, and landscaped gardens. There are lifts to all floors and level access throughout.

Your new home is unfurnished so you can make it your own. We offer one and two-bedroom apartments, each with a living room, fitted kitchen and walk-in shower room.

There is Wi-Fi in communal areas. Pull cords are fitted in every apartment, and optional assistive technology is available to complement your lifestyle. This can be purchased at an additional cost.

Apartments are available to rent. Leasehold apartments may also be available to purchase from a current owner. You may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent from Cheshire West and Chester Council.

How do I apply?
 

  1. Contact us for an application form or contact Cheshire West and Chester Council’s adult social care team.  

  1. We’ll arrange for you to visit and meet us. 

  1. We’ll help you to complete a housing assessment and affordability form, as you may be eligible for financial assistance towards your rent and part of your service charge. 

  1. While you’re here, we may assess if you would benefit from care and support services, and our care provider may arrange to visit you at home to discuss your needs. For your care to be funded by Cheshire West and Chester Council, you must have had your needs assessed and approved by the adult social care team.
