Changes to domestic abuse services in Plymouth

31st March 2026

Sanctuary Supported Living

From 1 April 2026 Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services (PDAS), managed by Sanctuary Supported Living will no longer provide domestic abuse support in Plymouth.

The new support provider for domestic abuse services across the city of Plymouth will be the new Plymouth Domestic Abuse Partnership made up of First Light, Ahimsa, and Bridge Outcomes Partnerships. Sanctuary Supported Living will continue to provide refuge accommodation until 1 July 2026 when it will be run by Bournemouth Churches Housing Association (BCHA).

The partnership name is currently serving as an umbrella title while the organisations work collaboratively with all partners, including the refuge accommodation provider, to agree a new service name that reflects the full partnership.

Sanctuary Supported Living is working closely with the local authority and the new providers to make the transition as smooth and supportive as possible.

Those who currently receive support from PDAS will be asked to complete a consent form to ensure continued support through the transition. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing any form of domestic abuse or violence, don’t suffer in silence.

In a non-emergency, call 101. Alternatively, call the Women’s Aid 24-hour helpline:  0808 2000 247.  To access mental health services through NHS 111, call 111 and select option two. In an emergency, always call 999.

If you live in the Plymouth area and need support, including refuge housing from 1 April 2026, call the Plymouth Domestic Abuse Partnership on 01752 429 736.

Clients, partner agencies and anyone else who would like to contact the new provider can email:  PlymouthDAPartnership@firstlight.org.uk
